Once all the linkages are set and everything is where it's supposed to be (including the throttle shaft connectors under each middle throttle body) the idle can be adjusted by either advancing or retarding the idle timing. Setting timing at idle can give different results than optimum due to variances in the mechanical devices the motor uses to advance it.
